WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS?
My style sets me apart from other photographers- my photos are warm and bright, but timeless. Now more than ever I see so many different trends in photography, but I like to keep my photos looking natural, timeless, mirroring true to life. I also value connection with my clients as much as I do my style, which also sets me apart. I make it my goal to not only leave you satisfied with your photos, but feeling comfortable and at ease working with me from the second you hire me, to the wedding day, to receiving your gallery, and everything in between!
ARE THERE TRAVEL FEES?
If your wedding is going to be more than 40 km from where I am based (Edmonton, AB), there will be a travel fee of 60 cents per additional km after the first 40. I travel all the time for weddings, so don't hesitate to inquire if your wedding location isn't close by! I have traveled all over the world for weddings, and all destination elopements and weddings are 20% off!
DO YOU TRAVEL?
You bet! Another passion of mine aside from photography is traveling, and I love when I am able to combine that with my work! I shoot destination weddings, elopements, and engagements- I am ready to go wherever you want to go!
HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS WILL THERE BE AT OUR WEDDING?
Unless you purchase a second shooter to add to your wedding package, or your wedding package already includes one, I will be the only photographer at your event.
WHY DO AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
I am a big fan of engagement sessions, mainly because they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera...BEFORE your big day. It takes time for most couples to warm up to being photographed and understand how I pose. Timelines can be pretty tight on weddings days and 30 minutes may be all we have for portraits - which is why I’ve found that wedding day portraits turn out so much better when couples do engagement sessions ahead of time. I want you to walk into your portrait hour on your wedding feeling confident and comfortable, and practicing beforehand is definitely going to do that for you!
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
Your final wedding gallery will land in your inbox eight weeks after your wedding date. Your final lifestyle gallery will land in your inbox 4 weeks after your session date. However I know you will want to relive your wedding day before that, so a little sneak peek will be sent to you within 24 hours after your wedding!
WE'VE ALREADY HAD OUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION, CAN WE GET A DISCOUNT OFF OUR WEDDING PACKAGE?
Engagement photos are complimentary with every wedding package. I always say that you can never have enough photos, and what better way to get to know your wedding photographer? You don't have to take advantage of this, but prices do not reflect the engagement session so they cannot be adjusted.

BOOKING FEES / CANCELLATIONS / RESCHEDULING / TARDINESS
BOOKING FEE/RETAINER:

40% of your package price is required upon booking to secure your date. This is non-refundable. No exceptions. This fee covers initial communication, all planning, location scouting, and blocking off a specific time in my calendar that can no longer be booked.
CANCELLATIONS:

If you no call no show, you are forfeiting your booking fee and will not be scheduled again in the future. Please be mindful that when time is blocked off for you, that spot is only held for you. Therefore, no one else is able to be scheduled during that time.
RESCHEDULING:

I am very understanding that life happens and unexpected situations arise. If you need to reschedule for any reason, please try to give 48 hours notice if possible. If you happen to fall ill the day of your session, please reschedule. I work everyday with all age groups and cannot risk passing on anything to other clients. Your photos will look better if you are feeling well rested and at your best! Rescheduling due to weather can be decided the day of - if it is down pouring and sideways rain that hinders our photos
TARDINESS:

Please plan enough time to get to your session. Whether that be getting the kids ready or navigating through rush hour traffic. If you are running late, please call. I respect every single clients time and put an incredible amount of effort into scheduling and planning a session, so please also respect mine. If you have a 60 minute session and you are 20 minutes late, you will then have a 40 minute session. If you are more than 30 minutes late without calling, you will forfeit your booking fee and Raeleen Kay Photography has the right to cancel your session. Of course, I understand unforeseen circumstances can arise. If I am late, I will communicate that with you and your session time will not be affected.
